| The Women’s Economic Security Campaign (WESC) is a collaboration
of four women’s funds—the Chicago Foundation for Women,
the Washington Area Women’s Foundation, the Women’s Foundation
of California and the Women’s Foundation for a Greater
Memphis. In collaboration with the Women’s Funding Network,
we work to increase opportunities for low-income women and their families,
ensuring that their struggles are at the center of the debate on improving
our nation’s economy. Locally, we have partnered with advocacy
and research organizations with specific expertise and missions that
align with the goals of the Campaign—the Early Success Coalition,
Shelby County Office of Early Childhood and Youth and The Urban Child
Institute.
The Women’s Foundation for a Greater Memphis plays a dual role
in our community. Through our connection as a community leader and funder,
we can align experts and advocates from across the business, political,
and community spectrums, while strengthening the voices of women and
their families. We can facilitate advocacy campaigns and public education
efforts by linking grantees and the women they serve to the national
and local policy conversation on women’s economic security. Join
us!
