Jennifer HollidayThe Women's Foundation for a Greater Memphis welcomes Singer and Social Change Advocate Jennifer Holliday as the keynote speaker for the 2010 Annual Tribute Luncheon and Symposium, "A Legacy of Philanthropy."

Jennifer Hollidays values of family, faith and philanthropy are evident through her successful career in music and theatre. Her work in the philanthropic arena encompasses social advocacy focusing on arts and wellness. Since starring in the hit Broadway musical "Dreamgirls" over 20 years ago, Jennifer Holliday has evolved into what is arguably one of the greatest female voices of rhythm and blues of the 20th century. A two-time Grammy Award winner, Holliday has made several guest appearances as an actor on prime-time television, including a recurring role on "Ally McBeal." The Tony Award winning actress also starred in Chicago, Grease, and Harlem Suite on Broadway. Holliday received an honorary Doctorate of Music from the Berkley College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts. She has performed at the White House on numerous occasions for Presidents Ronald Reagan, George H. Bush, and Bill Clinton. Currently, Holliday gives concerts throughout the world and performs with many symphonies across the country.

Holliday lends her talent and volunteerism across the country and continues to demonstrate the importance of a work life balance. She is a fervent advocate of mental health issues and suicide prevention for youth; and through song and testimony to those suffering with depression.
