2011-2012 Grant RecipientsGrant-making is an important, and perhaps the most visible, component of the Women's Foundation's work. WFGM's unique model of effectively allocating funding resources is the cornerstone to establishing working partnerships with local agencies. WFGM ranks in the Top 10 among women's funds and foundations nationally for percentage of revenues going to grants. Further, our grant-making program is uniquely equipped to focus on the special needs of women and families because of WFGM's rigorous review process that enhances our ability to focus grants on successful programs that address community needs in five key areas: economic and financial literacy, job readiness/career development, entrepreneurship, leadership development and non-traditional job training. WFGM celebrated the 2011 Annual Grants Showcase and Volunteer Recognition Event on Monday, October 24, 2011. At the showcase, WFGM awarded $500,000 to 31 programs, and $116,000 to advocacy and research and technical support. Please click the link below to view the 2011-2012 grant recipients.
